Sand and finish my wood floors vs. Buff and Coat/Screen and Coat

Maybe your floors are in pretty good shape, and you are just starting to see some surface scratching? Maybe they were just refinished a few years ago and your kids and dogs have put some wear and tear on the floors, and you want to keep them looking perfect? Did you just have a remodel done and the floors took on a little bit of abuse, maybe the contractors didn’t protect them as good as they should have. Are you just starting to see some surface scratching (this happens a lot in kitchen), maybe there are areas where the stain is starting to fade? Maybe you own a bar/restaurant and want to protect the wood floors from the massive amount of traffic? If so, our Buff and Coat service (aka maintenance coat/screen and coat) would be a great service for you. This service includes a thorough cleaning of your wood floors with 3 different, NWFA approved hardwood floor cleaners, using our professional hardwood floor cleaning machine (Basic’s Dirt Dragon). At that point we will add any stain and do any necessary touch ups. We then will make a mechanical or chemical bond to your floors, then apply 1-2 coats of a commercial grade polyurethane. This will bump up or bump down the sheen level, add another layer of protection and clean up most of the surface scratching. This is a fraction of the cost of the sanding and finishing, can usually be done in 1 day. Call us to discuss your options!
